Bio

Dr. Raunak Shrestha is a Computational Biology Research Scientist at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). After completing his undergraduate studies in Biotechnology at Kathmandu University, Nepal, he pursued a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics at the University of British Columbia, Canada, mentored by Drs. Colin Collins and Cenk Sahinalp at the Vancouver Prostate Center. Subsequently, he undertook postdoctoral training at UCSF, where he was mentored by Drs. Felix Feng and David Quigley. Dr. Shrestha’s research focuses on understanding the role of epigenetic modifications in advanced prostate cancer progression and resistance to targeted therapies. He is a recent recipient of the Prostate Cancer Foundation Young Investigator Award.
